VadoVia is dusting itself down and moving on after online travel agency giant Travelocity took exception to its original name iGoToo.
VadoVia says it switched from its original name in response to "notification of trademark opposition" from Travelocity, which claimed the iGoToo brand was too similar to its IgoUgo review site.
Rather than messing with The Man and "engage in a lengthy and costly legal battle", co-founder Enrico Cortesano says the company is focusing its resources on reintroducing its iPad app under a new name.
The app allows users to create personalised tours in a location and share details and content with friends on social networks as they travel.
Cortesano says:

"In July, we introduced our travel app at the TBEX conference in Colorado and received an overwhelmingly positive response from the attendees. In the long run, the amazing functionality of the app is far more important to the user than a name change."
VadoVia is roughly translated in Cortesano's native Italian to "I am going away" - something presumably the folk in the branding department at Travelocity were also hoping for.
Travelocity has not responded to requests for comment.
