Wyndham Worldwide has followed some of its rival hotel groups and backed Veeve, another of the emerging rental startups.
The chain's Wyndham Vacation Rentals division has made an undisclosed investment in the UK-based luixury rental service, the provider of over 1,000 hand-picked properties in London.
The move mirrors that of Hyatt, which joined a group of investors by backing OneFineStay in June 2015 to the tune of $40 million.
OneFineStay was sold just 10 months later to Accor €148 million.
Wyndham's investment is being touted as a means for Veeve to expand its home city's portfolio and in other cities elsewhere around the world.
Created in 2011, Veeve rebranded from Vive Unique in November last year and also overhauled its senior management team.
Other capital-raises by the company include a Series A investment of $5.2 million from Smedvig Capital.
Wyndham Vacation Rentals now has Cottages.com, Hoseasons, James Villas and Veeve on its rental portfolio.
