DISTRIBUTION: DHISCO and Peakwork have launched an interface so that customers can package hotels with other travel products. The Player Hub Technology from Peakwork can combine hotels with flights, car rental and other ancillary services.
PAYMENTS: Travelport and ACI Worldwide are uniting to create a fraud control and settlement tool for airlines, known as Authorize Plus. The system works by integrating Travelport's existing Card Payment Gateway to ACI's ReD Shield tool for ticket tracking during processing.
LOYALTY: RoomIT has launched its Loyalty Booster program, a reward plan to give points and miles to travelers within an existing travel policy. The CWT-owned service allows travel managers to run promotional campaigns to target customers when they use specific products within a managed trip.
BACK-OFFICE: GrandStay Hotels will give its hotel franchise owners a new property management system that works on mobile devices. The system is hosted by SkyTouch Technology and includes rate and distribution management tools.
APPS: Japan Trip Navigator is a new travel app from Navitime and built in conjunction with Microsoft Japan. The allows travelers to create itineraries based on a series of Q&As posed to an AI-based concierge.
