It feels an age away now (in web generation terms it probably is), so it is interesting, 14 years on, to hear what the founder of everyone's favourite pink online travel agency now thinks about the tech and financial marketplace. A host of internet or tech companies have gone public recently, on both sides of Atlantic Ocean.
Lastminute.com co-founder and former-CEO Brent Hoberman's new business, Made.com, where he is chairman, is also rumoured to be gearing up to list on hte public markets.
It is big news because it is second time a business connected with Hoberman has floated. The company eventually went for £571 million just before the first dotcom bubble burst in 2000.
So, Hoberman, are we in the middle of another tech boom, or on the brink of another bubble?
