- Alitalia has chosen CityDiscovery as its partners for tours and activities. Passengers access the tours and excursions via an affiliate website with CityDiscovery offering more than 6,000 experiences including 400 in Italy with details available in a number of languages.
- CheapTickets has relaunched its Events service online with a geo-targeted homepage to show popular events in a user's location, interactive seat maps and Weekend Finder to highlight late availability of events locally. To coincide with the relaunch the company is offering 10% off event tickets and hotel stays for qualifying properties booked until December 31. Sister-site Orbitz will also be offering event tickets in the Autumn.
- Regal Hotels Group is using SiteMinder's direct connect platform RDX (Room Distribution Exchange) to distribute rooms between its property management system and hundreds of online travel agents. Regal has six hotels in Hong Kong and the partnership with SiteMinder will remove manual processing of reservations.
- Gap year specialist Gapwork.com has extended its destination guide section to feature country and city guides, accommodation options and emergency services details for each destination. A dedicated flights page has been created to show booking peaks as well as a top things to do section and tips and advice on local customs.
