United Airlines is giving passengers on its p.s. flights the option of pre-ordering brunch selections on United.com.
p.s. stands for Premium Service, which covers transcontinental flights between New York and San Francisco or Los Angeles.
Economy passengers on these flights can pre-order two brunch options on United.com up to 72 hours before departure.
For $24.99, brunch choice #1 includes quiche, fresh fruit, a cheese plate with dried fruit, a croissant with jam, salmon over cucumber dill salad and sparkling one.
Brunch choice #2, at the same price, features a tomato and mozzarella sandwich, shrimp cocktail, a cheese plate with dried fruit, Israeli couscous salad, Ghirardelli chocolate and sparkling wine.
Of course, forget about trying to pre-order this through your GDS-connected travel agent.
This ancillary service is exclusively available on United.com.
Will the next phase include unbundling brunch choice #2 so you can order the Ghirardelli chocolate as a standalone item?
Can the GDSs handle Ghirardelli chocolate?
Stay tuned.
