Following the pair's final integration a few weekends back, United and Continental have secured their first milestone: overtaking rival carrier American Airlines.
With Continental redirecting to a United-branded homepage, combined traffic share is now measuring at over 12% of the airline category, around the same level as the two separate brands before the merger but ahead of AA in the list of leading websites.
Southwest is still the market leader by some considerable distance, securing double the amount of traffic share than Delta.
