Traxo hopes it gave users another reason -- the introduction of a Loyalty Tracker -- to use its itinerary management service.
Traxo's new Loyalty Tracker enables users to track their air, car and hotel rewards points on a single dashboard.
Users select the loyalty programs they wish to track, provide their passwords, and then Traxo automatically updates their accounts and sends notifications when their miles and points are about to expire.
Traxo cites stats from InsideFlyer Magazine that in 2009, 150,000 travelers lost 1.5 billion frequent flyer miles because of inactivity.
There already are numerous websites that track frequent flyer miles.
Seattle-based GoMiles, for example, is testing a program that tracks rewards programs, advises users what actions they can take to get a free trip and how close they are to achieving various status levels.
Traxo, however, claims it is the first free service to display miles and point balances in tandem with the traveler's entire itinerary.
Launched in August 2009, Traxo competes with the likes of WorldMate, TripIt, TripCase, Rearden Commerce, Kayak Trips and others.
The company hopes that its Loyalty Tracker will provide some differentiation and a reason to make Traxo "your home base for travel."
