Eight months after acquiring Rubicon, TravelClick went shopping for another company and bought distribution- and channel-management specialist EZYield.
TravelClick, which provides business intelligence and marketing services to hotels, says the acquisition of EZYield will provide hotel connections to more sales channels and enhance integration between hotels' data management systems and online distributors.
EZYield's solutions enable hotels to update their availability, rates and inventory to more than 650 travel website partners, TravelClick says.
For now, EZYield will continue to offer its products to hoteliers as standalone solutions, but the plan is to integrate them into TravelClick's iHotelier central reservations system as well as other property management and customer relationship management systems, the companies say.
TravelClick is headquartered in New York, but has a presence in Orlando, Fla., where EZYield is based. EZYield will continue operating from Florida and James Filsinger, the former CEO of EZYield, will head TravelClick's channel management business and report to Jonathan Cherins, general manager of reservations solutions, TravelClick says.
Terms of the deal, which was consummated Nov. 4, were not disclosed.
