A sizeable Series B investment round to the tune of $13 million has found its way to Social Tables, the SaaS platform to help hoteliers and meeting organisers with events.
Backing the company in latest capital-raise will be QuestMark Partners, with previous investors - Bessemer Venture Partners, Thayer Capital, Fortify Ventures and Middleland Capital - also participating.
The Washington DC-based company was created in 2011 with a vision to upgrade the processes used by organisers of events at hotels, as well as academic institutions and the catering industry.
The technology is able to organise event design, attendee lists and handle logistics on the day of an event.
Social Tables claims the platform has been used to plan more than one million events from some 4,300 customers, including large chains such as Hyatt.
The new funding round (bringing its total so far to $22.6 million) will be used to tackle what CEO Dan Berger calls, "a broader set of industry challenges", due to be launched in 2017.
