Skyscanner puts live flight tracking tile on Windows Phone

Skyscanner has developed a flight finding application for Windows Phone with the ability to track prices live.

The price tracking feature, a first for the flight search specialist across any of its platforms, takes advantage of the Windows Phone capability and enables users to put a Live Tile on the home screen of their device and track the price of selected flights.

Prices are automatically updated every hour.

Skyscanner adds the Windows Phone app to its existing iPhone and Android apps which have been downloaded almost 5 million times according to the company.

British Airways recently demonstrated developments it is considering for the Windows Phone.

The jury is still out on the Windows Phone  however with Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer admitting at a recent analyst event that the company had not sold as many as it had hoped in its first year since launch.
