Skypicker, a European booking agency focusing on low-cost carriers, recently received an investment of $500,000 from Touzimsky Airlines.
Investments are held in the form of an increase in share capital. A shareholder loan will play a key role in the further development of the company.
The deal gives Skypicker a new traffic source from a highly targeted Central European audience. Its aspiration is to become a market leader of low-cost flights within two years.
In 2013 Skypicker, whose team is in their early twenties, reported turnover exceeding $500,000.
The Czech company, founded in April 2012 and previously profiled by Tnooz, also acquired WhichAirline, the metasearch engine, for an undisclosed amount. Tnooz has profiled WhichAirline previously.
Both sites will be run separately for the time being.
