SITA is continuing to build out its airport IT product range, buying German airport process management specialists Delair Air Traffic Systems for an undisclosed sum.
Delair operates what is known as an A-CDM product - Airport Collaborative Decision Making - helping airports optimise a range of functions from "departure sequencing, de-icing and performance management."
A statement said that delair "complements and extends" SITA's existing airport management business, which is in place at more than 150 airports in 48 countries. The three functions mentioned above will be a new part of what SITA can ofer airports.
Delair also has a consultancy and research-and-development arm. SITA will continue to support Delair's existing airport customers and staff will remain based at its Braunschwieg HQ.
