Toronto-based PlanetEye has joined forces with TripTelevision to develop a system providing HD-quality video that can be connected to specific destination content and mapping.
The partnership signed this week allows both companies to lever together their respective content to B2B partners to create video, mapping and editorial at the same time on their own sites.
The pair claim the move is hugely significant for destination and other content publishers as previously would not have been able to include geo-tagged and indexed video, photos and editorial content together in one place.
PlanetEye came to the attention the industry in early-2007 after it became the only site allowed to use the well-respected Microsoft mapping system that creates clusters and visualisation of content.
TripTelevision, which is based in Vancouver, Canada, and Denver, US, is a provider of travel video content and web-based player systems for third parties.
