Car sharing is getting a boost in Mexico today, as Carrot.mx announces $2 million in funding.
The Series B round was led by Venture Partners, and will be used to pursue the company's positioning as the Zipcar of Mexico.
Total funding clocks in at $3.5 million, with the latest round including previous investors Auria Capital and Mexico Ventures.
The company has a tight range of vehicles, offering four primary models to accompany different lifestyles. Two of the available models are low-emissions, from a hyprid Toyota Prius to an all-electric Nissan Leaf. Pricing runs by the hour plus a per km charge.
