Marriott ExecuStay launched a Discover ExecuStay blog and the first "guest blogger" is a public relations executive who works for the Marriott mothership.
Catherine "Cat" Leitner, who heads public relations for several Marriott lifestyle brands, is relocating from the Bethesda, Md., area to the Big Apple and says in her first blog post that for the next two months she will be documenting her experiences staying in a Marriott ExecuStay pad and establishing roots in an unfamiliar big-city.
So Cat is a guest blogger in a very liberal of the term in that she doesn't work for ExecuStay, but instead is in the wider family, dealing with Marriott's Renaissance Hotels, Autograph Collection and EDITION brands.
Detailing the experiences of someone relocating to New York City isn't a bad idea for ExecUstay -- let's just hope that there is a bit of candor injected about the relocation process.
Having a public relations guru kicking things off doesn't exactly inspire confidence that the Discover ExecuStay blog will provide anything approaching objectivity about the process.
If Marriott ExecuStay's Facebook page and a YouTube video provide any inkling of what's to come, then don't expect the Discover ExecuStay blog to ever go off-message.
In this video tour of ExecuStay furnished apartments, you'll find uncluttered desks, living rooms and bedrooms without people, laundry rooms absent a hint of dirt or lint, and wide-open streets which never have traffic jams.
