More moves in the vacation rental marketplace with news that VacationRoost Group has acquired LeisureLink.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed but a statement says the combination of the two companies will offer travel sellers "the largest collection of bookable and commissionable vacation rentals."
LeisureLink offers distribution, revenue management and business information services to vacation rental owners. It runs a distribution platform called Marketspan as well as a consumer site, abetterstay.
The company received $9 million in Series C funding in late 2010 bringing total investment to $25 million.
The statement goes on to say that the combined companies reservation network is generating more than $130 million in vacation rental bookings annually.
VacationRoost offers rentals via its brands including MountainReservations and Hawaiianbeachrentals as well as through global distribution systems and online travel agencies.
The company will be led from Salt Lake City with former LeisureLink board members Rishi Nigam (svp of Wynham Vacation Exchange and Rental) and Jim Armstrong (managing director Clearstone Ventures) joining the VacationRoost board.
