Attendees at this week's 49th International Paris Air Show may be forgiven if they do not realize that the two most important dates in aviation history are December 1903 when the Wright brothers took flight and May 2007 when Delta Air Lines and JetBlue created Twitter accounts.
Well, perhaps that is a bit of a social media-tinged overstatement, but both events are recounted in an Eezeer Airlines Monthly Twitter Report geared toward the Paris Air Show.
Using data through May 2011, one of Eezeer's factoids is that the owners of 6.5 million Twitter accounts were following 196 airline Twitter accounts.
And, with 190,000 tweets exchanged between airlines and consumers in May, there is more tweeting going on than the Wright brothers could ever have imagined.
