AxisRooms, a hotel technology specialist, has raised angel funding from Seedfund Advisors.
This new fund, which is undisclosed, will go towards product enhancement and client acquisition.
The company aims to increase the number of hotels it supports from its current number of 265 to 5000 by 2015, and also wants to be India’s biggest hotel distribution platform.
AxisRooms provides SaaS-based solutions like channel manager and booking engines for hotels and also provides a corporate booking tool for companies.

AxisRoom has many rivals in the space including Travelclick, Hotelogix, and RateGain.
Seedfund was also an early stage investor in redBus, India's biggest bus booking website. redBus was recently acquired by ibiboGroup, the company that runs Goibibo and TravelBoutiqueOnline.
AxisRooms was founded in 2011 by Anil Kumar Prasanna and Ravi Taneja, other core members in the company include: Leema Rosali, director of operations; Rahul Agarwal, director of product development and Rahul Goyal, director of technology.
AxisRooms's partners include Expedia, Booking.com, Agoda and makemytrip.
