Cast your mind back to the summer when this story about a hacker cracking hotel electronic doors emerged in Forbes.
The story didn't stop there with Onity, the electronic door specialist in question, stepping in to introduce several measures to secure the doors.
Well, it seems, it didn't end there either with hackers redoubling their efforts to crack hotel doors and posting clips on YouTube demonstrating the $50 security cracking kit and how to make it.
And, now one clever hacker has even managed to fit the wiring for the hacking device into a magic marker.
Rival in the door security market OpenWays has responded with a cheeky attempt to take advantage of Onity's misfortune by highlighting its own mobile access products via a freeware model.
OpenWays must feel its own technology is pretty robust in terms of security to jump on this particular bandwagon.
Tnooz has reached out to Onity for a comment.
