Since August Expedia Inc has been pushing out its first business-to-business (B2B) mobile app to the Apple and Google Play (Android) stores for hotel customers in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
The Expedia PartnerCentral App brings its extranet, which helps hoteliers manage hotel rates and inventory, to mobile devices.
The app lets a revenue manager, say, load last-minute inventory while standing in line for a coffee at Starbucks.
For hotel and B&B employees who are often away from their desktop computer, the mobile tool is theoretically handy to respond to things like real-time feedback from guests.
Here's the official rundown of what's included in the iOS App and the Android app:
- Stay on top of reservations with up-to-the-minute booking information and notifications
- Quickly promote last minute inventory with Sell Tonight
- Receive real time alerts and insights on events taking place in their markets with the new Activity Feed
- View and reply to guest Real-Time Feedback during their stay
- Create, optimize and renew promotions or join Expedia Group campaigns to target and attract travelers
- Benchmark performance against the competition using MarketWatch
