Expedia Latin America has 40 revenue managers working in its market management team and is looking to expand its ranks.
The company revealed it plans to expand its revenue manager ranks in Latin America in 2011 -- and it's all part of growth plans in the region.
The revenue managers advise hoteliers on how to increase incremental demand -- by partnering with Expedia, of course.
The expansion plans come as Expedia released new booking data on Mexico, which has been shaken by drug-gang violence in parts of the country.
Parsing data from more than 90 Expedia and Hotels.com websites around the world, Expedia said bookings to Mexico have risen 25% over the last year, with the majority of the demand coming from the UK, Canada and the U.S.
The company says the number of Mexico hotels participating in Expedia and Hotels.com sites climbed 30 percent in the last 12 months.
