Dolphin Dynamics revamps UX
- The company has begun a multi-year revamp of its user experience which aims to modernise its reservation and booking management systems. A revamped user interface will also be developed.
Hotelplanner gets visual with
ICE- The visual content means travel suppliers using ICE Portal's content management system will be able to deliver their photos, videos and virtual tours to Hotelplanner.
Wednesday 28 June:Peakwork adds kiwi.com
- The German travel tech specialist has added inventory from Czech based Kiwi.com into its flagship Player Hub product. Kiwi creates virtual interline routes by linking separate airlines into a single itinerary, and the itineraries can now be used by Player Hub clients to build dynamic packages or sell as flight-only. Kiwi is also taking flight inventory from Peakwork and using its booking engine.
Carlson Rezidor follows the money
- The hotel chain - whose brands include Radisson, Park Plaza and Park Inn - has signed a global and wide-reaching partnership with IDeaS Revenue Solutions, tapping IDeaS to help improve the revenue performance across its 1,400+ properties in 115 countries. Elsewhere, Carlson has also signed a deal with OTA Insight, specifically looking to use its rate intelligence and parity tool.

- NextPax, the vacation rental technology specialist, has added properties from Center Parcs and Sunparks to its distribution network.
Monday 26 June 2017:Koddi launches price product
- The metasearch marketing platform has released, in beta, Koddi Price Intelligence which gives advertisers accurate price competitiveness data, at the hotel level, within the platform. The idea is to synch more effectively the connection between hotel pricing and user interest.
WEX has the knowledge
- Swedish post-booking process automation specialist Traveknowledgy, which works with travel agents and aggregators, has signed up for the virtual payments solutions from WEX.

Wednesday 21 June 2017Sygic opens up
- Trip planner Sygic Travel has entered the B2B space and is offering its data and trip planning tools to other companies. The tech can be used to power websites and apps. The plans is that all its inventory - 20 million points of interest, 2 million hotels, 70,000 tours and thousands of 360° videos - will be available to third parties by the year-end.
Monday 19 June 2017Accor gets some IDeaS
- The global hotel chain will use IDeaS to provide revenue management services across 9,000 of its properties. The partnership includes use of the provider's G3 Revenue Management System and SAS analytics suite, as well as an option to run additional products such as the IDeaS Function Space tool.
Wix adds
HotelRunner- The website development platform has integrated HotelRunner's hotel channel management system, to sit within its hotel booking tool. Wix's hotel customer will be able to synchronise reservations from more than 80 booking channels in one place.

- HolidayCheck, the German-language hotel reviews and booking platform, has signed a long-term deal with personalisation tech specialist bd4travel after an extensive pilot project. Using proprietary algorithms bd4travel creates unique profiles for each user based on site usage and recommends offers accordingly.
Tuesday 13 June 2017Japan has a yen for bitcoin
- Japanese travel tech provider Evolable Asia has linked up with bitcoin exchange Bitpoint, allowing its consumer-facing OTAs to accept the cryptocurrency as payment at 1,400 hotels in Japan. Earlier this month Japanese low-cost carrier Peach said it would also allow passengers to pay for tickets with bitcoin, also in partnership with Bitpoint.

Snap to it
- Snap's self-service advertising platform is now live, with reports claiming that businesses can have ads up and running within two minutes. The product was announced in May and is designed for SMEs to manage their own campaigns.

- SunTec's Xelerate platform will integrate with the corporate agency giant to show clients real-time product and services from data captured around the world. It also works across billing systems to create relevant offers to business travellers.
Tuesday 6 June 2017:IBS gets closer to ANA
- Blackstone-backed IBS Software has signed a five-year strategic partnership with ANA Systems, the in-house IT unit of Japan's All Nippon Airways. The plan is that IBS's extended software delivery facility (ESDF) model - development, maintenance, enhancements and testing - will support the digital transformation and globalization of the airline's IT and business processes.
Friday 2 June 2017:Qunar signs pan-Asian ad tech partner
- Chinese mobile-first OTA Qunar has linked up with Vpon Big Data Group in a deal which allows Vpon's advertising clients access to Qunar's mobile platform. Vpon's proprietary tech has been built specifically for cross-border targeting and allows Asian firms access to Qunar's Chinese customers.
