Dolphin Dynamics is opening up consumer-style booking tools and content to customers with the integration of a web publishing system within its reservation platform.
The company is targeting mid-market travel suppliers and sees a gap in the market for companies who want to customise the look and feel of the technology but don't have the money or skills.
Map-based search is one element already offered by the technology and the company is developing different ways to integrate and present product and information such as blogs and newsletters.
Dolphin has redesigned its booking engine and user interface breaking them down into a series of components enabling travel suppliers to customise the offering and rearrange the order of various elements.
The company is offering levels of customisation from simple design changes to social media integration.
The web publishing system is being provided in partnership with Telerik, which supplies the Sitefinity web publishing technology and is based on dot.net technology.
According to Dolphin Dynamics boss Roberto da Re, three customers have already signed up to use the system.
