This one is easy: unless you make more off those advertisements than you do by selling your products, get rid of them.
Replace advertisements with catchy banner ads for your own products.
I see too many small businesses doing a fine job of selling other people’s stuff (at a pittance) and not selling theirs.
Besides, there are better ways to advise upsell products.
Why not work with preferred vendors to give customers discounts on gear/guides/equipment with a purchase from you?
Only work with people who are in for the win-win.
