China's largest online travel agency, Ctrip, is looking to expand out of its hotel and air ticket mainstay by dipping its toes into tours and activities.
An enhanced Things To Do channel on the site went live this week, using product from BeMyGuest to supply inventory from around Asia.
The company's 10,000 products will be bookable on the Ctrip website and mobile apps, with vouchers or e-tickets sent to buyers when payments are made.
Adding the BeMyGuest API to supply more inventory is "in line with Ctrip's expansion into activities and tours," says the OTA's CEO of integrated business of things to do and activities, Pan Fei.
The channel, since its original launch in mid-2014, is achieving bookings in the region of 10,000s per day, Fei claims.
BeMyGuest says it will be introducing other language versions of its API beyond Mandarin and English in 2016.
