Ceetiz.com, a tours and activities booking website based in France, has said it closed its first fundraising of Euro 3 million last month.
Participating investors included the BPI, Entrepreneur Venture, Sigma Gestion, and HPC.
Angel investors like Jacques-Antoine Granjon, founding resident of vente-privée and Charles Petrucelli (former global president of American of Express Travel) also participated.
CEO Eric Blanc, who launched Ceetiz online in 2012, said in a statement that the startup will use the money to fully overhaul its technology platform.
The platform currently has 8,000 activities in more than 220 destinations.
Its largest competitor is Viator, which has 20,000 options and which was acquired by travel tech giant TripAdvisor for $200 million last year.
The site's tourist attractions, guided tours, excursions, cultural and sporting activities run the gamut of tickets to New York City's Museum of Modern Art to tickets to a guided tour around a district in Rio de Janeiro.
Said the company:

"Ceetiz extends its offer to professionals by developing a specific interface and an affiliate program, aimed notably at travel agencies, plus distribution partnerships with large tourist operators."
