Amadeus upgrades PSS for Caribbean Airlines
- The Trinidad & Tobago-based carrier will use the Amadeus Passenger Service System has part of a wider digital overhaul. Features will include the system's reservation, airport check-in, ticketing, inventory management and ecommerce tools.
Tuesday 28 July 2015:Travelport signs Radius Travel technology deal
- The agreement covers all of the brands in the Radius network, including Cos & Kings in India, Ctrip in China and Portman Travel in the UK. Members will use a number or services such the Smartpoint desktop system, Universal API and eNett virtual payment system.
Friday 24 July 2015:Musement gives hotels some activity
- The tours and activities booking brand has created what it calls a Hotel Platform for properties to integrate product into their own websites. Musement says hotels will be able to sell activities onlione or via the existing desktop software used by concierges and reception staff. Product will also be pushed through a property's existing customer connections before and during a guest's stay.
Wednesday 22 July 2015:Traxo and Cornerstone unite for TMC data services
- As part of the deal, Cornerstone will be integrating the Traxo For Business tool so that customers can capture and analyse data from multiple sources to improve efficiency for travel management companies. The agreement will also include the introduction of TravelOptix by Cornerstone, covering itinerary building and management services, plus policy oversight.
Travel Tripper upgrades booking engine
- The RezTrip Direct service is targeted at hotels and acts as a complimentary version of the existing RezTrip Classic platform. The system features a number of consumer-facing options, including a booking "urgency" tool, room availability, hotel popularity, ratings and automated best rate guarantee tool.
Friday 10 July 2015:Caribbean Airlines upgrades with Amadeus
- Caribbean Airlines is unifying its passengers service systems through Amadeus including reservations, airport check-in, ticketing and inventory management. The upgrade should give the airline real-time information as well as improve the online experience for passengers.
Cloudbeds partners with
Wix- Independent hotels who use WixHotels will now have greater marketing options via a partnership with Cloudbeds for its myallocator channel management system. The deal means access to additional online channels for hotels to sell vacant rooms through.
Fraedom agrees to
Itemize- Corporate expense management specialist Fraedom is partnering with Itemize on a more efficient expense management system using OCR technology. The development will enable travellers to take a photo of a receipt using a mobile device and the information will be extracted and matched to the relevant transaction within Fraedom.
Tuesday 7 July 2015:15below lands with Fiji Airways
- The Fijian flag carrier will use UK-based passenger notifications specialist to handle its pre-departure and "welcome home" messaging services. The two-year agreement will include pre-flight questions, as well as vouchering services, weather updates and targeted offers. Fiji becomes the 35th airline to work with 15below.
Monday 6 July 2015:Vayant gives a leg-up to Vamo
- The US startup, created by a former senior engineer at Facebook, will use Vayant's airfare and pricing shopping technology as part of its service to calculate fares for multi-city trip planning. The integration is the latest part of a partnership between the pair which started in 2013, including powering its PriceMyTrip service on Twitter.
Thursday 2 July 2015:Sabre enhances Branded Fares service
- The newly released functionality will allow airlines to use ATPCO standards to distribute branded fares via the Sabre GDS, to both offline and online agencies. Fares can be fed with different packages of services or ancillary products, with carriers in North America and Europe signed up.
Cornerstone Information Systems launches two TMC and corporate services
- 4Site is a data-driven platform which provides information to a corporate traveler's mobile device, such as itineraries and travel options, trip disruption and concierge and re-accommodation tools. TravelOptix is an analytics service to give corporations and travel management companies an understanding of their customer's travel data, including policy compliance, budget enforcement and itinerary information.
