Air New Zealand is the latest travel company to try its luck with a share and earn scheme in the UK.
The airline is rewarding consumers who share information about its premium economy Spaceseat product via social media with £50 cashback if the share results in a booking.
Air New Zealand follows camping and caravaning specialist Park Resorts with the Share and Earn scheme, which has been developed by digitalanimal.
The social media initiative, which runs until 16 May, is part of the airline's Premium Enjoyment advertising campaign to promote the Spaceseat and premium economy cabin.
The campaign was devised by Albion London and aims to show the cabin and seat from a passenger point of view using Seatview, a panoramic image which enables users to click on various areas for further information.
Air New Zealand will promote the social media initiative via its newsletter and consumer website.
Last week CityJet unveiled a competition incorporating QR codes which also offered a prize for the most social shares.
