Sabre appointed Greg Webb president of Sabre Travel Network, which is the company's global distribution and travel agency business.
Sabre spokeswoman Pam Wong says Tom Klein, group president of Sabre Travel Network and Sabre Airline Solutions, will retain these titles and roles, and Webb will continue to report to Klein.
Webb, who will have responsibility for the travel network globally beginning Jan. 1, 2010, also will keep his role as Sabre's chief marketing officer, Wong says.
Wong says Webb's new role will enhance collaboration within the travel network as Chris Kroeger, president of GetThere; Jay Jones, senior vice president The Americas; and Martin Bowley, who heads the travel network in Europe and the Middle East, will now be reporting to Webb.
The move, which Wong cites as a promotion for Webb, reduces the number of people within the travel network and airline solutions who were reporting to Klein.
