Sabre Holdings has added a flight planning tech firm to its armoury with the acquisition of Vienna, Austria-based f:wz from Dubai Aerospace Enterprises.
The deal will see the company become part of Sabre AirCentre portfolio of products within Sabre Holdings. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by either party.
f:wz houses a number of different products including navigation database management, aircraft performance support, route data software and maintenance and fuelling systems.
Sabre says the acquisition will allow it provide services to airlines looking to outsource flight and air planning support.
The individual products within f:wz are Flywize, Flywize Flight Briefing, AirSavings and Flywize Data Services.
The company will remain based in Austria.
