In today's episode, Jim Davidson, a self-described "passionate and opinionated bobblehead," slaps the GDSs for restrictive contract clauses which stifle innovation and differentiation.
The masses of downtrodden travel agencies and airlines labor nobly despite GDS-mandated performance and convenience fee clauses for travel agencies and full content parity, PNR ownership and control, and anti-promotion clauses for airlines.
Although it goes unmentioned in the video, presumably Farelogix insists on none of these shackles in its airline and travel agency agreements.
