Sojern, which helps airlines and other travel companies market targeted offers, picked up $7.5 million in additional financing to fund growth and a rebranding campaign.
The new round was led by Industry Ventures, which joined Norwest Venture Partners, Trident Capital and Focus Ventures among existing investors "to support the company's continued growth and expansion," Sojern says.
Sojern offers an Airline Boarding Pass and Sojern Media Platform, both of which enable travel companies to serve up targeted offers to customers.
Sojern's clients include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Carlson Wagonlit, Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, Kayak, Travelport, United Airlines and US Airways.
Sojern has raised $32.5 million to date.
The company's growth and expansion plans include a rebranding campaign, which will alter the company's focus from primarily a company publishing boarding passes to a firm focusing on travel data and audience targeting, says Brad King, vice president of sales and vertical marketing.
