It's official: Google and ITA Software closed on their $700 million transaction and ITA is now part of Google.
ITA Software gets a little Google brand infusion with a new logo reading, "ITA Software by Google."

With the finalization of the settlement and the closing of the deal, Google and its new ITA Software unit can begin their planning in earnest and integrate their staffs.
The closing of the transaction comes almost 10 months since the deal was announced on July 1, 2010, and followed months of debate by opponents and supporters of the merger.
The U.S. Department of Justice conditionally approved the merger April 8.
