Click A Taxi, the taxi booking application, has received $1.5m in second round angel funding as it extends its service further across Europe.
The startup, launched in the UK and Ireland in June (Tlabs here) yesterday released the app in Austria, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.
When a customer makes a booking, the app pinpoints them using GPS and refers their booking to the nearest taxi partner.
Founder Soren Halskov Nilssen says the funds will be used to help the company expand more rapidly as well as release new developments.
The $1.5m comes on top of angel investment of Euro 500,000 the startup had already received with existing investors staying on and new investor Tommy Ahlers, former boss of Podio, joining the round.
Click A Taxi said in June that it wanted to be available in every city Western Europe by the end of 2012.
