Jakarta-based online travel agency Traveloka has launched a virtual-reality experience showcasing top-rated tourist destinations in Indonesia at Changi Airport in Singapore.
Called the Xperience Wonderful Indonesia Hub and located in Terminal 3 of the airport, the pop-up takes visitors on virtual tours Bali, Banyuwangi, Riau Islands, West Java, Sumba, Rapatwaken, Jakarta and other Indonesian destinations.
The experience was created through a partnership with Traveloka business unit Traveloka Xperience, the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore and Changi Airport Group.
In addition to virtual tours, visitors to the Xperience can also receive travel tips and information on attractions such as the Borobudur temple and Lake Toba.

“As a discovery and booking platform that inspires and connects travelers to destinations across Southeast Asia, through Traveloka Xperience, we are making it even easier for travelers to find tourism destination inspiration and book the top attractions, activities or even tour packages, not only in their city, but also in other cities or countries, such as in Indonesia,” says Christian Suwarna, CEO of Traveloka Xperience.

This interactive exhibit will give Singapore residents an opportunity to find out more about Indonesia’s attractions and add these new destinations to their travel plans.
“We hope the exhibit will also inspire tourists passing through Changi Airport to discover new locations in Indonesia and pair Singapore with these destinations on their next visit to Southeast Asia.”
