JetBlue Technology Ventures has held firm on its five investment areas which include revenue management, loyalty and the customer journey.
The investment company, which now has 24 startups in its portfolio, recently led a $2.5 million round in Stride, a platform for multi-day packages.
At the World Aviation Festival 2019 in London earlier this month, Amy Burr, managing director of operations and partnerships for JetBlue Technology Ventures, discussed how Stride fits in with its portfolio.
She also spoke about wider industry partnerships with the International Partnership Program launched just over a year ago and the recent addition of Vantage Airport Group to the initiative.
Other topics covered included on why the company is investing at a slightly later stage and writing larger checks than previously.
Burr also discussed the pros and cons of working with entrepreneurs from a travel background and how those without travel experience can provide a different perspective.
