- Etihad plans to provide on board wireless internet to selected flights between Europe and Abu Dhabi by December. A total of five aircraft will offer the service by March with three operating routes from Frankfurt, London, Geneva, Munich and Paris to Abu Dhabi among the first.
- Choice Hotels International has expanded its mobile offering with an Android application as well as a redesigned mobile website. The revamped website features a GPS-based search facility as well as additional hotel images and details. The android app, which adds to the existing iphone tool unveiled two years ago, offers similar functionality.
- Brazil-based Pmweb has joined forces with buuteeq to develop Pmweb ONE, a business unit providing technology to independent hotels in Brazil. Both companies bring digital marketing expertise to the table and the aim of Pmweb ONE is to help hotels with their online presence and mobile, drive bookings via various distribution channels, engage with social media and create effective websites.
- Jet2Holidays has appointed Affiliate Window to handle its performance marketing initiatives. The tour operator previously used TradeDoubler but has made the switch to take advantage of technology provided by Affiliate Window's new interface, the Darwin Markeplace.
