India is one
of the fastest-growing markets for international arrivals to Australia.
Tourism Australia,
the country’s destination marketing organization, say arrivals from India grew
by 299% between 2005 and 2016, six times faster than total inbound arrivals,
and spending increased 350% during that period to reach $1.2 billion.
Now Pickyourtrail,
an India-based startup that provides a self-service platform for travelers to
plan international vacations, is partnering with Tourism Australia to offer its
users exclusive itineraries and activities from the DMO’s “UnDiscover Australia”
initiative.
“Being one of the leading travel tech startups in the
country gives us more insight into the kind of holidays Indians are looking for,”
says Hari Ganapathy, co-founder of Pickyourtrail.
“Gone are the days of booking yourself on a packaged
tour; travelers are now taking a keen insight to plan their itinerary from
scratch. And with a wide range of experiences on offer and Australia never
being 'off-season,' we believe this partnership will showcase a whole new side
of the country."

The campaign
is live across all digital and social platforms of Pickyourtrail for users to
build their customized itineraries.
Pickyourtrail launched
in 2013 as an activity marketplace and then pivoted to become a DIY vacation
planning platform that launched in 2016. Users can now book their entire
experience including flights, accommodations, ground transportation,
activities, insurance and visa requirements on the site.
In addition to
the new partnership with Tourism Australia, Pickyourtrail works with tourism
boards in Dubai, New Zealand, the Maldives and Jordan.
The company raised
$3 million in Series A funding in February.
