Lessons learned over the last year
This year has been a challenge for the whole sector; however we have found that resilience and optimism have been key in moving forward!
The increasing adoption of digital tools to improve operational efficiency on-site can help venues manage
recent staff shortages caused by worldwide events.
We have found that understanding your visitors’ journeys on-site can help deployment of limited staff to the most needed areas, improving the visitor experience. In addition, this last year
can be seen as an opportunity to embrace new digital tools to engage with visitors like never before.
Offering visitors a personalized digital experience drives increases in dwell time, concessionary spending and repeat customers. Most importantly,
digital tools can reduce the reliance on paper products, such as printed paper maps, which contributes to venues’ sustainability.
